Visit Korça, Known as the Little Paris
Elegant architecture, old cafés and a unique atmosphere in the city of Korça.
Korça has long been known as the "little Paris" of Albania, because of its elegant European architecture and rich cultural atmosphere. It's located in the southeast of the country, about 3-3.5 hours from Golem, so it's recommended for a full-day trip or as part of a longer itinerary.
The city is known for the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, one of the largest in the Balkans, as well as for the Old Bazaars full of craft shops and traditional cafés. The National Museum of Education and the Museum of Medieval Art are also important stops for history and culture lovers.
Korça is also the birthplace of Albanian beer and several of the country's most well-known composers and artists. Its green streets and wide squares give the city a distinctly European feel, unlike the rest of Albania.
